This sculpture is a representation of how taking birth control pills for my endometriosis has affected my body and body image. Bras are a hard definition of the size you are. They are supposed to fit you perfectly, and shape your breasts to the societal standard. As a result of my high estrogen levels from birth control, my breasts often change sizes dramatically, and my ill-fitting bras always serve as reminders that they've changed. The effect that this unpredictable change has had on my body image is an interesting contrast with my appreciation of how well the drug has improved my endometriosis symptoms. With this sculpture I tried to capture a depiction of my size changes with the different cup sizes, as well as the beauty of feeling pain relief through my use of birth control in my painting.​
