Founded in 1999 by hairstylist Larella Ellsworth, our hands-on Assistant Program provides a comprehensive foundation in haircutting and color application, paired with essential business education. This is a paid position in which assistants work alongside a range of stylists with diverse specialties, gaining exposure to multiple techniques and client experiences. Education, both technical and business, is provided at no cost to the assistant, ensuring they receive top-tier training without financial burden.
By the end of the program, each stylist will have received intensive technical and business training, secured a chair in the salon, and gained the resources to build and maintain an established clientele. With personalized mentorship and real-world salon experience, our assistants graduate fully prepared to excel in every aspect of the beauty industry.
Applicants must hold an active California cosmetology license in order to begin the program. Due to the program’s prestige and high demand, we are currently waitlisted until Spring 2026. Interested candidates are encouraged to join our waitlist to be considered when the next opening becomes available.
